  • NY Guild members are automatically members of the Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association. MAFA offers online events such as a monthly Movie Night, a quarterly Book Group, and virtual classes on a variety of subjects each month, as well as an in-person conference in Pennsylvania on odd numbered years.     https://mafafiber.org/

  • Handweavers Guild of America (HGA) is an international membership association with individual 1-year memberships for $59, 2-year for $95. HGA offers a conference called Convergence on even number years (August 2026 in New Orleans). Publishes Shuttle, Spindle & Dyepot magazine.   • Surface Design Association (SDA) is an international membership organization providing a platform for the exchange of ideas, methods, and materials. Inspiring creativity, encouraging innovation, they advocate for excellence as a global leader in textile-inspired art and design. The SDA community is expansive: from makers and artists to academics and enthusiasts. https://www.surfacedesign.org/

  • Handweaving.net offers digital resources for all weavers: over 77,000 drafts, thousands of historic weaving documents, weaving tools, and more. Basic accounts are free and enable personalized features such as draft clipboards, downloads, and contributing your own drafts.

  • Handwoven is a quarterly magazine (subscription) and is packed with projects, instruction, and inspiration to help you build technical skills and design confidence. https://handwovenmagazine.com/
